9. 27. F. Villanova. Mikal Bridges. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

Height: 6’7″, Weight: 210, Age: 21
Statistics: 17.7 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 43.5% 3FG

New York doesn’t want to admit it, but they miss Carmelo Anthony. We may have a close substitute for you and Kristaps porzingis to have some help in the near future.

Mikal Bridges is a Villanova hero looking for a home, New York could be the place. The Knicks were looking pretty good until Prozingis got hurt last season, and Michael Beasley will be a free agent, therefore Batman is looking for his robin, Bridges may be able to help.

A lot like Kevin Knox, Bridges shows his ability to play anywhere on the court and his ability to pull up from three better than anyone his size in this draft – making him the ideal 2018 piece to any NBA roster. Being a great player is one thing, but being a great player under the greatest of circumstances is another, and hopefully it separates Bridges from the rest so the Knicks can be happy.

Bridges has a highlight tape that almost mirrors Brandon Ingram’s from years back, and I think the Knicks would love an emotional Brandon Ingram – I also think the Lakers would love an emotional Ingram (zinger).

Overall, I would take Bridges with a top-five pick, so this one is obvious.
