The saddening truth of Derrick Rose and his hopeful and future success is that it won’t only be in the hands of him, but up to the fans and media to rally behind Rose’s pursuit of a comeback.

With so many doubters outside of Chicago, it’s really a difficult life to live for Rose as he just tries to stay in the game that he loves. Players around the world in all sports have been known to shout out Derrick Rose and wish him the best.

Jabari Parker recently put that into words at his introductory press conference to the Chicago Bulls:

Parker is simply telling the media and NBA fans to not downplay what and who Derrick Rose is, and that Rose has already created a legacy. Anything that Derrick Rose does now is just historic due to the fact everyone had already counted him out.

While most Minnesota Timberwolves’ fans will get angry at an article like this, it’s important to remember that Derrick Rose came back to Minnesota for a minimum contract when he’d been rumored for more elsewhere as well as better suitors and franchises.
