The Minnesota Timberwolves season is right around the corner. Let’s take a look at their top-five nationally-televised games this season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have fairly high expectations for the 2018-19 season. And rightfully so; they made the playoffs for the first time in 14 years last time around.

And don’t forget that Jimmy Butler is set to become a free agent during the 2019 offseason.

That reality has made things a little more difficult in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The tension between Butler and the young stars of Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns has not been a pleasant site to see.

Minnesota has a lot of resolving to do if they want to continue to be a force in the Western Conference. The only way possible for Minnesota to keep Butler is for them to win and show him that they’re in it for the long haul.

Of course, it’s always possible that the Wolves end up trading their superstar instead of losing him for nothing. But that would likely be a ways down the road.

It’s not all that bad; Minnesota has some things to look forward too. A fresh and healthy season for Derrick Rose will be fun to see, for instance. And how will the Wolves utilize new rookies Josh Okogie and Keita Bates-Diop? The minutes they’ll be awarded are yet to be determined. The future is bright for those two young guys and it will be fun to see how they develop over the year.

Justin Patton is also getting healthier and it will be interesting to see if Minnesota gets to see him play. For now, the focus is on the Timberwolves schedule and a look at the top-five nationally-televised games during the 2018-19 season.
