4. Timberwolves at Golden State Warriors

How could the Golden State Warriors not be included in this discussion?

Any time a team plays the Warriors, they draw a crowd. That’s what happens when you have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green in the starting lineup.

Now, they’ve added All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins bringing the total number of All-Stars on their team to five. It’s notable, however, that Cousins will still be out due to his recovery from a ruptured Achilles’ tendon when this game is played in early November.

Still, the Warriors are the best team in the NBA. That said, the Wolves have actually had decent success against Golden State. Or at least to give them troubles of some kind. For example, they were one of the nine losses given to them during their 73-9 campaign from a couple of years ago.

If the Wolves can compete against them, then Minnesota is doing pretty good considering how good this team is. Playing them early in the season might be beneficial because the Warriors might not be rolling as well as they would late in the season.

Then again, Minnesota might have some troubles out of the gate because of all the drama surrounding the Twin Cities.

Circle this date on your calendar. This game will be fun to watch.
