1. Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

If anyone has looked at the schedule, they will notice a similarity between last year’s.

That’s right: the Wolves will be facing off against the Denver Nuggets to close the regular season once again.

The Timberwolves’ most exciting and nerve-wracking game came down to the final seconds last year. It was a win-or-go-home game with the winner of the game facing the Houston Rockets in the playoffs.

Just to refresh everyone’s memory, here’s the highlights of one of the most memorable games from last season. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come down to this next April…

Minnesota and Denver finished the game in overtime, which frankly didn’t help Wolves fans calm their nerves.

With the game on the line, Wiggins was given the call on the free throw line. While free throws were a struggle for Wiggins during much of the season, he was able to knock down each shot.

A divisional game in the final days of the regular season is typically going to be a huge deal. As with the Thunder, the Wolves beat the Nuggets in the season series last year by a 3-1 margin, and would be best served to do it again in 2018-19.
