Jimmy Butler and the Washington Wizards have had an interesting history. When Butler was playing with the Chicago Bulls he had quite a few bouts against the Wiz Kids.

In this move, the Wizards would finally get that superteam that everyone knows John Wall has been dying for.

Using Bradley Beal and Butler as your wing guys with Wall at the point seems deadly enough, but having a threat – although not what he used to be – like Dwight Howard underneath the basket has to be the second best, if not the best team in the Eastern Conference.

Only the Boston Celtics could compete with a loaded roster like the Wizards would have. Losing Otto Porter Jr. would turn out to be okay when you switch him out with a 4-time All-Star. Ian Mahinmi contract gets moved for a questionably worse one in Gorgui Dieng which is essentially a swap, and the Wizards lose a first round pick.

Sounds worth it for Washington.

As for Minnesota, getting Otto Porter would solve their wing issues on the defense end and it would let Andrew Wiggins go to his natural position at shooting guard.

Porter isn’t high personality type player and would fit in well with the even-keel roster of the Wolves, but it’s definitely still a downgrade from Butler.

The unprotected first round pick should be the deciding factor in that move, it would be a massive deal.
