Okay Timberwolves nation, I’m frankly tired of seeing so many individual trade pieces and rumors about Jimmy Butler that I’ve decided to compile every team in the NBA and try to see what would be possible in a deal, enjoy this series.

Now that news has broken out from several Woj bombs about the fiasco that is the Minnesota Timberwolves front office, we can assume that anything is possible with Jimmy Butlers future.

A 29 team trade piece seems excessive and frankly too much, but this whole situation is literally too much. Therefore, making a series of articles about 29 Jimmy Butler trades to 29 teams makes a lot of sense in a crazy way.

If you’ve been missing the news, essentially whats been going on is that head coach Tom Thibodeau and GM Scott Layden want to keep Butler in Minnesota.

The problem is that Butler wants out and Karl-Anthony Towns was rumored to not want to sign his extension unless Butler was sent away and Towns literally signed his extension last night (meaning we can sleep somewhat better).

The biggest issue is that owner Glen Taylor said in a meeting with other front office executives recently in New York that Jimmy Butler is on the trade block, and not only that, Taylor is demanding that Thibodeau and Layden get to work finding a trade partner as soon as possible.

So yes, a 29 team trade piece about Jimmy Butler doesn’t seem too crazy when you have all that drama going on.

My method to organizing the teams will be based on conferences.

We’ll be doing Western Conference first in this series going from best teams to worst. Although, each part to this series will be 4-5 teams, in this case we have the Warriors, Rockets, Blazers, Thunder, and Jazz.

All trades have been through the ESPN trade machine and contractually work out.

Golden State Warriors trade for Jimmy Butler:

I think we both feel sick reading this trade scenario.

Jimmy Butler would become the best sixth man in NBA history for the Golden State Warriors and NBA fans would switch sports for a year. But lets humor ourselves for a bit.

The Timberwolves get an interesting haul, Andre Iguodala would be a pretty good veteran to help guide Andrew Wiggins in the right direction. Not only that, but he would be awesome to have in and out of the starting lineup as a utility knife type of wing.

Jordan Bell and Quinn Cook off the bench have shown signs of being really quality players for Golden State. Bell was consistently a threat on the defensive end last year and Cook had quite a run for the Warriors when Stephen Curry was injured.

This could be the saving grace for the Wolves at point guard when Jeff Teague departs Minnesota and even when Taj Gibson potentially leaves next year.

The Warriors get to bring in Jimmy Butler off the bench and if any of the Warriors players get injured, you can just switch up the lineup and slot Butler pretty much anywhere from guard to forward, making the Warriors the best team in sports history.

Tyus Jones would be fighting for minutes with Shaun Livingston and that’s a duo who can’t shoot from outside the arc, so there’s something negative.

Overall, don’t do this trade so we can all sleep at night, but it’s definitely video game worthy if your playing as the Warriors.
