With Jamal Murray slowly becoming one of the better guards in the league, newly signed Gary Harris may not need to wear a Denver Nuggets jersey anymore with Jimmy Butler on the trade block.

This is potentially one of the cleaner and more balanced trades I’ve seen for Jimmy Butler, even if it’s just a rental for Butler this season. The Denver Nuggets want to hold on to their young players and even Paul Millsap, and getting Butler might cement everyones future in Denver.

The Nuggets are slowly on the rise and they have the right player to send back to Minnesota for Butler’s talents.

Harris averaged close to 20 points per game and shot close to 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from three. Which is exactly what the Wolves need to balance their offense with Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns getting more touches in the near future.

A consistent scorer isn’t easy to come by in the NBA, and Gary Harris has CJ McCollum potential which makes him one of the best assets to have around the league. Not to mention he just turned 24-years old.

If you’re the Timberwolves and this deal slides across your desk, you make it 10 out of 10 times, especially with owner Glen Taylor forcing a Butler deal in the next 24 hours.
