This trade technically can’t happen until October 31st, because forward Marquese Chriss was recently traded and can’t be moved again until that date.

A 3-team trade seems to be Minnesota’s preferred situation and with Houston now asking to keep PJ Tucker, they’d have to add an asset that is less than Tucker and their 2019 first round pick, in this case we added Chriss – who has a lot of potential.

The Timberwolves get Eric Gordon in the starting lineup alongside Andrew Wiggins, and get to play Chriss off the bench, which in itself is like just getting a draft pick from this summer, for better or worse Chriss’s talents are as raw as a rookie.

That might seem less attractive, but it’s a possibility this may be the deal on the table. To make Minnesota a bit happier, Houston would send Sacramento a 2021 first round pick so the Wolves can get rid of Gorgui Dieng’s contract, in return of a year from Kosta Koufos who would land in Minny.

Next. Did Jimmy Butler give Wolves a trade deadline?. dark

The Wolves would also send Sacramento a 2021 second round pick, and the kings need these draft picks after losing most of them over the next two-three seasons for terrible trades/transactions they’ve made.

I like our first trade better than this one, but this specific one could realistically be the deal Thibs sent over to Morey now that Houston doesn’t want to move their fan favorite Tucker.

Time will tell, stay with us to keep updated!
