There could definitely be a draft pick thrown in this deal for the Wolves, but I’ll leave one out for what the Mavericks have to take in cap when receiving Gorgui Dieng as a back up big man.

Moreover, the Mavericks get Jimmy Butler who’ll fit nicely next to guard Dennis Smith Jr. and help him not be as much of a defensive liability – hopefully. It will also be perfect for rookie Luka Doncic to learn from two All-Stars, being Butler and DeAndre Jordan.

The loss of Wesley Matthews hurts, but because his contract is up next summer, this is the perfect time to take a chance if your Mark Cuban of the Mavericks.

The Timberwolves become a more well rounded team, but that’s not saying much since most of these deals do that for the Wolves. But this is probably the best grouping of talent they can get for still being more well rounded, because say what you want about Harrison Barnes, he doesn’t do much to disrupt your roster because he’s pretty good at everything.

Wiggins and Barnes could potentially switch between the guard and forward position, with mostly Wiggins playing from the two – and a lot like the T.J. Warren deal, this could definitely work.

Wesley Matthews is one of the best short minute guards in the league and could continue to be on the Wolves.

This is probably my favorite deal out of the four options in this post, especially if Dallas could squeeze in a draft pick – which is definitely probable.

Our next trade is the last one from the Western Conference, which also happens to be the most improbable deal to happen.
