The Boston Celtics are in a tricky situation with Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown. Their talents are undeniable and they can all play very well together, but there could possibly be a log jam at the beginning of the season.

The Celtics have been rumored to want to trade for Anthony Davis, and to do that Gordon Hayward is most likely the available asset in any trade including the big man out of New Orleans. If that trade falls through and doesn’t get done, Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler have noted they want to play together, so the mix of those two and the Celtics young talent could make for an interesting future.

The question has to be asked in Boston’s front office, can Gordon Hayward be as good as Jimmy Butler? As of right now, there isn’t a high possibility that Hayward will even be the player he once was in Utah, mostly due to that injury last season.

Boston has to ask themselves what they want out of their roster, and Danny Ainge will have to make some decisions in the near future that surround Anthony Davis and/or Gordon Hayward.

As for the Timberwolves, you absolutely make this deal.

Having three max contract players is never a good idea when none of them are top-ten talents, but this would make their starting lineup a lot more well rounded. It also lets Andrew Wiggins thrive at the shooting guard position, where it seems obvious he feels most comfortable.

Getting rid of Gorgui Dieng’s contract is also a huge plus for Minnesota, but it’s also a reason they have to send a protected first to Boston – which also is a huge plus for the Celtics, as they do love their potential draft picks.

Our next deal is a more realistic one, sending JB to eat some Philly Cheese steaks.
