This one is pretty simple, you’re trading talent on a contract for better talent with a year left on a contract, specifically Otto Porter Jr. for Jimmy Butler.

The center swap here is more of a plus for Minnesota as they get a lesser deal in Ian Mahinmi when you consider the years left on each of the center’s deals.

Otto Porter is more of a true forward than Andrew Wiggins and this move would allow Wiggins to play off the ball more and get the chance to run pick and rolls at the guard position. Defensively we’ll also see a plus out of Porter’s size, not to mention his ability to knock down the three from the perimeter.

The Wizards would have the potential to make some really intriguing lineups with the addition of Jimmy Butler. The idea of John Wall, Bradley Beal, Jimmy Butler, Kelly Oubre, and Dwight Howard sounds like a fun NBA League Pass watch and possibly a great playoff run.

Overall, all these deals seem pretty good. I would argue that the Wizards and the Raptors have potentially the best deals to offer, but I would take any of these to be honest.

Next. 3 things to watch for in Timberwolves' season opener. dark

The front office in Minnesota is acting like they are doing the right thing by waiting out for better deals but it’s important to note that the Timberwolves could implode even more from within if their are more practices like the one that was reported last week.

We have ten more teams to create trade ideas for Jimmy Butler and we’re excited to be done with it! Check in over the next few days to see the next five squads and what they can send back to Minny.
