The Cleveland Cavaliers have been rumored to be interested in Jimmy Butler (like most teams), but what could they give up for him?

Moving Kevin Love doesn’t seem like a possibility because he’s a fan favorite, but they do have a nice young asset in Cedi Osman that has a personality that could potentially mesh well with Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns – could be a lot of fun to watch those three for years.

To buy into this deal, you have to know the potential of Cedi Osman, if you don’t know about the Osman hype and possible high ceiling check out this video below:

Osman is a athletic specimen who has shown the ability to increase his on-court vision substantially over the past few seasons. The 6’8″ wing scored 17 points in his debut as a Cavs starter to go along with 10 rebounds and 4 assists.

The addition of Jordan Clarkson and Tristian Thompson would make solid contributions off the bench for Minnesota, especially if Thibs wants to wait on giving Josh Okogie minutes early in the season.

The two second round picks are a lot to ask for, but we’re assuming Cleveland will be high on the deal of acquiring Jimmy Buckets. The Cavs have been robbed of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James in the past 15 months and they need some talent to bring fans back as soon as possible.

The idea of Butler and Love leading a new Cavs team in the Eastern Conference actually sounds like a real threat when you look at how poor teams are in the East at the moment.

The Cavs wouldn’t have a great bench after this move, but it’s hard to come by a 4-time All-Star like Butler so you have to make deals like this when the opportunity is given. This deal feels an awful lot like the potential Miami deal that was rumored over the past few weeks that supposedly included Josh Richardson.

Thibs most likely said no to that deal not understanding the potential of Richardson who is averaging 24.5 points per game, 4.5 assists, and 4 rebounds over the past two starts for Miami this season, and you could see a similar outbreak in Cedi Osman this year too.

Our next trade idea includes the Miami Heat, which won’t make anyone happy in Minnesota because of what this deal will look like now that Thibs has rumored to want too much, Pat Riley has a lot of say in what goes on in the potential future.
