Minnesota Timberwolves: 5 players that could be traded for Jimmy Butler
By Trey Flynn
Gary Harris is a young stud at the shooting guard position
With Gary Harris already signed long-term, you can expect that Harris would be a more enticing deal that acquiring Tim Hardaway Jr. from the Knicks.
The Denver Nuggets are undefeated this season, even after just recently playing the Golden State Warriors. And while the Nuggets are a complete-unit, even a novice at basketball knows they still need more to beat the Warriors in a 7-game series.
Jimmy Butler could be what the Nuggets need for the Western Conference playoffs.
Moreover, Gary Harris could be the finale to the trio of Wolves’ stars in Towns and Wiggins. This deal seems too good to be true and that’s the only reason I left it out of our first spot, Harris is averaging 21 points per game and shooting 50 percent from the field, turning himself into one of the more efficient assets in the NBA.
He’s not much of a liability on defense like a CJ McCollum or Hardaway Jr. type guard, which is definitely a sigh of relief for Tom Thibodeau.
Our last player makes sense from what we’ve heard from rumors about Butler’s destination demands and also for what the Wolves desperately need as an option for their young roster.
Moreover, it’s the most realistic trade that I can possibly imagine.
