Jimmy Butler traded to the Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are the most surprising – winning – team this season, with a record of 6-3, winning the past five games.

Led by De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, we’re not too sure that they would give either of those assets for a possible rental of Jimmy Butler.

So in this deal we have some vets coming to Minny in the form of Zach Randolph and Iman Shumpert. And While Randolph will retire in about a year or two, Shumpert has proven this season that he’s not done yet – so expect Sacramento to sell high on Shump.

Before you destroy me in the comments for saying something positive about Shumpert, he’s averaging 10 PPG in 22 MPG, with shooting splits of 44.5/48.2/85.6, which is insane for a guard that most people thought was one foot out of the league after he couldn’t do anything for LeBron in Cleveland.

Much like Jae Crowder, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, and now Iman Shumpert, all of these players seem to ball better without Bron … hmm.

Why does Minnesota make this deal? Three first round picks, that’s all.

I’m not going to up-sell you Iman Shumpert – I tried, though – so three draft picks would have to do it. And if you’ve watched Sacramento this year, you would know that they are a hustle-style team with their fire power ranging from the speed of Fox, fearlessness of Hield, or even the confidence of Willie Caulie-Stein.

I love the Kings roster in terms of an almost-complete rebuild, but they might be ready to add an All-Star in Jimmy Butler since the absence of DeMarcus Cousins has left them hungry for an end of game scorer for future playoff runs, if possible.
