Jimmy Butler traded to the Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets are 4-5 and need to do whatever they humanly can to re-sign Kemba Walker to a max contract extension. And who else would keep Walker there than a top-15 player in the league in Jimmy Butler.

A back-court of Kemba Walker and Jimmy Butler, and a plethora of wings that can’t shoot and multiple centers for no apparent reason essentially sounds like a mirror image of the Portland Trail Blazers.

So, why can’t the Blazers work in the East?

The Blazers were third in the West last season and the Hornets could push for that seed in the standings with the acquisition of Butler.

This would also be a great move for Malik Monk, with less pressure on the young guard moving forward. Even though Monk’s played great this season, he can definitely learn from a freak of nature like Butler.

The Wolves would get back Marvin Williams to play off the bench, and then give Jeremy Lamb the minutes he’s been waiting for in the starting lineup at the shooting guard position next to Andrew Wiggins; the two draft picks are also a big help too.

Jeremy Lamb’s potential has been stunted due to the Hornets not sure what to do with him and Monk, therefore Lamb’s consistently averaging 12 PPG and shooting around 37 percent from down town over the past season.

There is a lot of room there for some real improvements, and if Thibs can let Lamb grow, he may turn into a nice starter in the NBA.
