Jimmy Butler traded to the Orlando Magic

Much like all the final teams were getting to and our past team in the Dallas Mavericks, the Orlando Magic will be one of the worse teams in the league this season, so what should they do?

They can take their high lottery pick in a not-so deep draft this offseason and hope for the best, or they can move their (potentially) high lottery pick to the Wolves for Jimmy Butler to start a new cutlure in Orlando.

In this idea, I sent the underappreciated 26-year-old guard Evan Fournier (don’t google his last name) to the Wolves to go along with a solid wing in Jonathan Simmons. Both players can be implemented in any NBA lineup fairly easy, as they can pretty much fit in any system with their talents and size.

Fournier has proved himself to be a clutch fourth quarter player and sinks shots when it counts. Simmons proved himself to not take anyone’s (insert bad word) when he was in San Antonio, so both players have potential to be Thib-like guys.

But again, the unprotected 2019 pick is why you do this, Orlando took Mo Bamba this past summer during the draft and Minnesota could really use a high pick do either take a rookie or trade it again next summer.

Ultimately the Magic aren’t going to attract anyone to sign a max in Orlando besides players they draft like Aaron Gordon, so why not make an enticing deal for Jimmy Butler in the hope that he really enjoys Disney World.
