Jimmy Butler traded to the Washington Wizards

It’s quite possible that the Washington Wizards finish this season as a bottom-ten team in the league as they sit at the bottom of the NBA standings with a 1-7 record with all kinds of dysfunction in D.C.

This is definitely the most “blockbuster” type deal in this whole article and that’s mostly because John Wall needs to get away from Washington.

I’m not sure I want him in Minnesota, but he’s arguably one of the biggest superstars in the the basketball world and he’ll be on the trading block sooner rather than later.

Swapping Wall for Jeff Teague makes sense for Washington because all they really need right now is one less voice telling everyone what to do; more team continuity and leadership could lead to the Wizards coming back together.

Tomas Satoransky and Ian Mahinmi are essentially filler players that are coming back for Gorgui Dieng.

John Wall would arguably be the best point guard in Minnesota Timberwolves’ history, and he could – on paper – play really well with Towns and Wiggins, especially with how well he could theoretically facilitate the ball for them.

Unfortunately for Towns and Wiggins, the attitude of Wall isn’t far off of where Jimmy Butler is, and I would expect a similar dramatic situation. But I don’t see Washington deciding that Otto Porter or Bradley Beal are the problems, so this just makes sense for the Wizards.

Not so much for Minnesota, unless everyone thinks we just need a better point guard to solve all our problems, then here you go.
