Minnesota Timberwolves: Jimmy Butler trades to all 30 NBA teams
By Trey Flynn
Jimmy Butler traded to the Milwaukee Bucks
Much like the Raptors, the Milwaukee Bucks are essentially a win or two away from being at the top of the standings in the entire league, sitting at a record of 7-1.
Funny what a real head coach can do.
Before I go on in this move, an obvious second trade would have to happen sending Gorgui Dieng elsewhere, unless the Wolves want to play Hensen next to him.
And I’m not joking around by insinuating that playing John Hensen next to Gorgui Dieng is an actual possibility, Hensen is averaging 40 percent from downtown and you can never have too many guys that are close to 7-feet tall and shoot the three.
Well … actually, I’ll stand by that.
Tony Snell being sent to Minnesota gives him the chance to possibly get more minutes that he can’t get in Milwaukee due to the depth. And while his contract is terrible, Minnesota would hope that Giannis Antetokounmpo leaves elsewhere once he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2021.
The Wolves would ask for two unprotected first that would be 2021 and 2023, hoping that the Bucks are falling apart around ’21, but most likely they would be in ’23 – IF the Greek Freak decides to leave.
Milwaukee’s fit for Jimmy Butler is interesting, it sort of reminds me of Houston getting Chris Paul last year and literally everyone believed that there wasn’t enough ball to go around – we would probably say the same about Butler to the Bucks.
All I know is that a lineup consisting of Eric Bledsoe, Jimmy Butler, Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Brook Lopez makes my 2k senses tingle – and possibly my analytical side tingle as well.
