Trevor Ariza is coveted around the NBA as one of the greater assets to obtain, can Minnesota pull it off since the Phoenix Suns loves them some Tyus Jones?

Trevor Ariza has the impact to push several teams over the hump they are currently sitting at in each of the major standings of the NBA.

Therefore, moving two bench players for the talents of Ariza couldn’t be more worth it. Just look at the Houston Rockets downfall this season, there lack of perimeter defense has allowed teams to run rampantly all over their wing defenders.

Ariza is a talented Swiss army knife that has been one of the more consistent players around the league for years, he’s literally averaged 11.7 PPG for the past three seasons, and that’s not by accident – not that it’s that impressive, but still incredibly notable considering his consistency.

The fit of Trevor Ariza is what would help the Wolves the most. Josh Okogie is a great impact off the bench, but having Ariza, Covington, and Wiggins at the wing positions would allow Minnesota to be more innovative with their length on defense.

Tyus Jones is the obvious demanded asset from Minnesota, as rumors have said the Suns are interested in adding another point guard and Jones could be that guy.

In conclusion, the Wolves’ could make any of these deals and I would be – besides Smith – very satisfied.

A worrisome decline in 3-point shooting for the Timberwolves. dark. Next

My personal favorite deals would be in this order:

  1. Terrence Ross
  2. Trevor Ariza
  3. Jeremy Lin
  4. Courtney Lee
  5. J.R. Smith

If a deal is ever on the table for the top three, I would also add Tyus Jones to the mix in any of those deals – possibly even more second round picks.
