Trade No. 10 – Indiana Pacers

The Minnesota Timberwolves trade Andrew Wiggins to the Indiana Pacers, in return for the surprisingly effective Bojan Bogdanovic and the incredibly versatile Tyreke Evans.

I love this move for both teams, and more than anything it gives Minnesota a more creative lineup overall and it makes Indiana more of a powerhouse in the east to compare with the likes of the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors.

The Pacers are stuck in basketball purgatory, and building around the young studs in Victor Oladipo, Wiggins, Myles Turner, and Domantas Sabonis could be their answer for the future. Again, a lot like these past moves, the teams that need Wiggs need another solid starter to differentiate themselves from the bottom tiers of their respective conferences.

As for Minnesota, Bogdanovic and Evans create more spacing, passing, and new schemes for the Wolves moving forward. And most importantly, they are both only on 1-year deals, allowing the Wolves’ to create a fresh new team built around Karl-Anthony towns.

I hope you enjoyed these 10 trades, just please know that I like Wiggins’ game and his attitude, but something needs to be done to this roster. And the real problem may just be the lack of innovation on Thibs side of the bench, but a lot of these moves still help Minnesota more down-the-road in terms of cap space and depth.

In conclusion, hopefully this team can hit a consistent groove, time will tell.
