3. The Energizer Bunny

One of the highlights of this season has been Timberwolves’ rookie, Josh Okogie. His high-energy play has captured the hearts of many and offered the fanbase some hope for the future.

The 20th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft has been thrust into a starting role for much of the season due to injuries. Okogie’s defense is much needed on a roster full of minus defenders, lending actual pressure to opposing guards on the perimeter. The high-flying 20-year-old is a highlight machine with memorable dunks that send defenders flying in every direction and jaw-dropping plays on the defensive end, including his block against James Harden on national television. Josh Okogie has quickly become a fan favorite and is deserving of his twitter handle @CallMe_NonStop.

Let’s double down on the Okogie experience by giving him an extra shot of espresso before one of the team’s final games and see what happens. The highest energy player on the team, possibly the league, with an extra boost of energy is the kind of chaotic excitement that Timberwolves fans need to end a sluggish final stretch of the season. I want to see double-digit steals, historic transition point totals, and bodies flying all over the floor just trying to keep up.

And maybe if we’re lucky, we can get one more “may the force be with you” call from Dave Benz before the season comes to a close. I can’t imagine anything better than capping off a crazy season with 48 minutes of “NonStop” out-of-control caffeinated exuberance.
