Trade Partner No. 1: Boston Celtics

With three picks in between the No. 14 and No. 22 selections (Nos.14, 20, and 22) and a deep roster, the Boston Celtics are an obvious team to watch on draft night.

On Sunday, Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders reported that the “Celtics are working the draft”.

What would trading down the Celtics look like? Let’s take a look.

If Minnesota wanted the 14th pick packaged with No. 20 or No. 22, they would likely have to give up a young player like Keita Bates-Diop or a future pick. In my opinion, this would not be a good move, because I like all five players I laid out better than KBD.

Celtics GM Danny Ainge is notorious for being very active in trading with other teams, so keep an eye out for Boston next Thursday night.
