2. Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons biggest need right now is a wing player. While it has been established that Andrew Wiggins may not be the most reliable wing player, his potential and upside could be appealing enough that a team desperate to make the playoffs like the Pistons would be willing to take a gamble on.

When taking into consideration Blake Griffin’s injury history, the Pistons may be willing to move Griffin for the right price. That price, however, is likely to be pretty significant. Due to this, the Timberwolves would likely have to part with a much more reliable wing in Robert Covington, as well as a first-round draft pick.

This is certainly a risky move for Minnesota. However, if Griffin can stay healthy, he would be the perfect forward to pair next to Towns due to his ball handling, rebounding, elite scoring ability, and the floor spacing he creates.

Paired with the right players around them, a Griffin and Towns-centered team would certainly be a threat in the Western Conference and would have the ability to make a playoff run.
