The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Chicago Bulls have been common trade partners as of late. Could they look to do business once again during the NBA Draft?

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls have very different ideas on what they would like to do going into next season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves want to gain as many quality assets as possible and to clear cap space. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls need a point guard they can rely on to be consistent and help fill a lack of quality and experience.

There is a trade that could be the perfect opportunity for both teams to achieve their offseason goals. The buzz in Minnesota and around the league currently is that the Timberwolves are pushing for two very specific things.

First, Gersson Rosas is doing everything he can to ensure the Timberwolves can move up in the draft. Second, D’Angelo Russell is an unrestricted free agent and would fit in Minnesota perfectly if they can free up cap space.

So, how can the Chicago Bulls help the Timberwolves achieve both of these things? How can the Minnesota Timberwolves help the Bulls get a reliable point guard? Look no further.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking into anything and everything possible to move up in the draft. That comes with a lot of wheeling and dealing but is certainly not impossible.

This particular trade would benefit the Bulls in terms of draft picks, plus they get a player who would fit what they were looking for exactly. The only downfall is the massive contract that comes with Jeff Teague.

With roughly $20 million in cap space to work with, the Bulls would be filling all of it by taking on Teague. The risk is worthwhile to fill the void, especially considering Teague has an expiring contract and that would free that same cap space up next summer.

This would require the Timberwolves to sweeten the deal by giving them the future pick mentioned to get this deal accepted.

This deal benefits both teams involves, but specifically the Timberwolves as they look for immediate impact and success in a player. This trade allows them to clear a large amount of salary, which could be reinvested immediately into their star free agent target, D’Angelo Russell.

The Timberwolves could now draft an incredible player like Darius Garland, Coby White, De’Andre Hunter, Jarrett Culver, Cam Reddish or Sekou Doumbouya.

With whoever the Timberwolves would end up acquiring with the No. 7 pick in this proposed trade would be an incredible prospect and a huge asset to the roster. He could even be one who could propel them into being a real playoff contender.
