A Minnesota Timberwolves contingent made an appearance at Minnesota Vikings training camp this week. Plus, players are still in town working out.

As we crawl through the end of July and realize there are still several weeks before players report for media day and training camp, don’t worry: there are still plenty of members of the Minnesota Timberwolves in town.

Perhaps it isn’t all that different from other teams around the league, but it is new in the Twin Cities. A culture shift is underway, no doubt, and it’s refreshing to see the comraderie front and center.

The Timberwolves organization is doing a good job highlighting the acitivities taking place at Mayo Clinic Square…

That’s Jarrett Culver, Robert Covington, Keita Bates-Diop, and Naz Reid in the photos and video above — a good mix of young players and veterans, to be sure.

Also this week, head coach (and lifelong Vikings fan) Ryan Saunders and Reid, who recently signed a guaranteed deal instead of the two-way contract he was expected to sign, headed down to Minnesota Vikings training camp in Eagan.

Apparently Saunders and Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer had a humorous exchange about Reid getting under center and throwing some passes — or perhaps running a quarterback sneak.

Elsewhere, Karl-Anthony Towns was busy getting his hoop on with rapper G-Eazy on what appears to be a movie set of sorts.

As Towns said earlier this month in an interview with The Athletic, he doesn’t believe there are any issues getting his name or his brand out there while playing in medium-sized market. Towns has certainly had plenty of opportunity, and he is keeping himself out there.

Lastly, the Timberwolves posted an awesome behind-the-scenes video that appears to be part of a new web series called “Track the Pack”.

It looks to be the sort of extra stuff that fans want to see, and especially with so many new faces on the floor, on the bench, and upstairs in the front office, this sort of thing will make a lot of progress towards getting fans in touch with their new squad.
