Wing Rotation
The Wolves have made acquiring wing talent a major point of focus for the past two offseasons, and now we’ll get to see how the rotation works itself out with a glut of quality players at that position.
Josh Okogie should get the nod in the starting lineup after starting 52 of his 74 games played last season, and a healthy Robert Covington will also start to help the Wolves’ defense improve dramatically.
Andrew Wiggins will also likely get a start each night as long as he’s on the roster, but it’s possible that another wing could start to steal his minutes if he continues to be a net-negative for the team. Jake Layman and Treveon Graham are solid veterans who should challenge for playing time, Keita Bates-Dip could earn more minutes in year two, and Ryan Saunders will likely get Jarrett Culver some meaningful run as a rookie.
If anyone is the odd man out in this wing rotation, it could be Wiggins unless we see that long-awaited breakout year in his age 24 season.
