The Minnesota Timberwolves head to San Antonio searching for their second win in as many weeks against the Spurs, who have lost nine of their last 10 games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the San Antonio Spurs exactly two weeks ago. Since then, the Spurs are 1-6 and have only beat the listless New York Knicks.

Truth be told, the Wolves haven’t exactly been world-beaters since then, either. They’ve gone 2-4 including losses to Washington and a shorthanded Suns team.

This is a game that the Spurs are still favored to win, despite the Wolves’ superior overall record and their 6-2 mark on the road. The Spurs are relatively healthy, but haven’t had much in the way of contributions from anyone not names LaMarcus Aldridge or DeMar DeRozan.

Last time these two teams hooked up, Andrew Wiggins paced the Wolves’ offense with a strong performance, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Look for the Wolves to again give Wiggins the keys to the car against a Spurs team with poor interior defense.

The game tips off at 7:30 C.T. tonight. Enjoy it!

What to watch for in Wolves at Spurs

The Spurs attempt and make the least amount of 3-pointers per game of any team in the league. The Wolves, on the other hand, remain one of the league’s most launch-happy teams from deep but have been in the bottom three or four in 3-point shooting percentage all season long.

The key last time out for the Wolves was Wiggins getting into the paint early, which set up both kick-outs to open shooters and Wiggins’ own jumper from the outside.

If Wiggins has another good game and Towns is able to dominate the glass, the Wolves should be just fine in this one.

Injury Report

The Spurs don’t have anyone listed on their injury report. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?

The Wolves are listing Treveon Graham (arm contusion) as probable and Josh Okogie (knee soreness) as questionable. Both played in Monday’s win at Atlanta. Jake Layman (toe) and Shabazz Napier (hamstring) will be out.
