The Minnesota Timberwolves have a chance to break their 10-game losing streak on Monday night in San Francisco as they take on the Warriors.
If the Minnesota Timberwolves’ losing streak is ever going to end, tonight just might be the night.;
The Wolves have lost 10 consecutive games and will be at the Chase Center in San Francisco to take on the lowly Golden State Warriors.
While the Wolves have slid to No. 13 in the Western Conference with a 10-18 record, the Warriors remain in the cellar with a 6-24 mark. They did win last time out, beating the 7-23 New Orleans Pelicans, who had defeated the Wolves just last Wednesday.
Minnesota escaped the first matchup with the Warriors back on Nov. 8 with a 125-119 overtime win, despite 52 points from D’Angelo Russell. Andrew Wiggins had 40 of his own, and Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 20 points, 14 rebounds and four assists.
The game was Exhibit A when it comes to the Wolves’ completely inability to slow down ball-dominant guards, and it isn’t as though they’ve improved in that regard since. That will be the key thing to look out for as the Wolves look to halt their skid.

What to watch for in Wolves vs. Warriors
Karl-Anthony Towns is officially listed as questionable, but the recall of Naz Reid from Iowa is likely an ominous sign for his availability. Obviously, Towns’ availability is key to the Wolves’ game plan on both ends of the floor.
The Warriors revolve entirely around Russell at this point, but his defensive issues are perhaps even more glaring on a thin Warriors squad than they were in Brooklyn last season. For as dynamic as he is on offense, Wolves point guards should be free to maneuver as they please against D-Lo..
Golden State lacks dynamic wing players and are void of frontcourt talent, so Andrew Wiggins and (hopefully) Towns should be able to make their mark on this game. The Warriors are suddenly a team that ranks in the bottom-three in the league in both 3-point attempts and makes and don’t really have an identity on either end of the floor.
Injury Report
The Wolves continue to miss Jake Layman (sprained toe). Towns remains questionable with a sprained left knee.
The Warriors won’t have Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson, of course, but could also be without starter Glenn Robinson III (sprained ankle) and rookie Eric Paschall (knee). They are both listed as questionable.
Here’s to the first win in nearly a month!
