Hopes were not high for this Minnesota Timberwolves team coming into the season, until the wins piled up quick in the first 18 games. From the seemingly dull pile of sticks came a strong flame.

Then, injuries to franchise cornerstone Karl-Anthony Towns turned many fans away from the team, but two big trades pulled off by Gersson Rosas have re-kindled the flames on this mashed-together Minnesota Timberwolves squad.

The fresh faces and exciting abilities of D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, and James Johnson have piqued the interest among fans. Couple that with the rapid-growing legend of Jordan McLaughlin and the ascendance of Naz Reid, and you find an an energetic group that is fun to watch. Not to mention the intriguing play of Omari Spellman and Jarred Vanderbilt for the G-League Wolves, who could become factors in the future.
