Deni Avdija. 9. player. 142. Scouting Report. Israel. Pick Analysis. Forward

The Washington Wizards need complimentary basketball players. Avdija is a forward that could, should his shot come around, be one of the better in the league, especially with his high-level transition playmaking and defensive IQ.

Avdija is crafty yet has deceptive athleticism, although it isn’t quite ‘top-flight’. The Wizards selected Rui Hachimura with their first pick in 2019, and while he has been putting up decent stats, Avdija would compliment him very well as someone that can defend multiple positions and create opportunities for teammates.

Washington will likely select the best overall player available, and Avdija might be that at this stage in the draft.
