player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Big. Memphis. James Wiseman. 2. 41

The Golden State Warriors are rumored to have Wiseman atop their board for this year’s draft. Wiseman has a good floor and will almost certainly be a good rebounder. His post game should be there in the NBA although there are concerns about his unselfishness in that area. While Wiseman possesses a 7-foot-1 frame with high athleticism, he has yet to show he can utilize his tools.

The Warriors have players at pretty much every position. The team, despite never really needing one over the past several years, has never had a franchise center with the tools that Wiseman has. He could be something special surrounded by both Steve Kerr and Draymond Green.

It is difficult to see the Warriors going in another direction if Wiseman is available when they pick. While it would be fun to see LaMelo Ball running the floor with Curry and Thompson alongside him, I still believe the Warriors are going to want to get a player that they can insert into their starting lineup immediately.
