The Knicks need team basketball players. RJ Barrett needs a guy that he can play off of rather than, say, Taj Gibson or Elfrid Payton. The Knicks had a change in leadership which can only bode well for their future.

Killian Hayes is a great point guard that brings a lot of good traits on both ends of the floor. He’s incredibly fluid, shows potential of a great outside-shot, has an elite handle (at least with his left hand), and is one of the best decision-makers in this draft class. Despite not being a high-level athlete, Hayes is crafty enough to score inside and holds his own defensively.

The Knicks should run the card in should Hayes actually be available. Currently, he is projected to go in the mid-lottery (right around where the Knicks select), but even if they jump into the top-4, they should take a look at selecting him.
