Players 1-5

1. LaMelo Ball, Guard, USA
2. Killian Hayes, Guard, France
3. Tyrese Haliburton, Guard, Iowa State
4. Devin Vassell, Wing, Florida State
5. Onyeka Okongwu, Big, Southern California

LaMelo Ball is the best player in this draft class. His passing makes him a player that is not going to be a bust. Should the shooting and defense come around (and I believe it will), he could eventually make a play for an All-NBA team later in his career.

Killian Hayes is a very intelligent player that can do a variety of things. He is a very fluid athlete and can score at both the rim and beyond the arc. His off-ball defense is incredible, and his overall awareness makes him a high floor-high ceiling player.

Tyrese Haliburton is another incredibly smart player. He brings a lot of skills and would complement D’Angelo Russell in the backcourt tremendously. Haliburton is very good defensively (both on and off-ball) and would bring much-needed length to the Timberwolves’ group of guards.

Devin Vassell is going to make an impact on whatever team he lands on in October. He is a prototypical 3-and-D wing that also can create his own shot in some ways as well. The defense for Vassell would be much needed on the Timberwolves, and he would be one of the only two-way players for Minnesota.

When it comes to finding a fit next to Towns, it does not get much better than Onyeka Okongwu. He is an elite paint defender, very switchable, and does enough offensively to where he would have a role despite not being efficient from three yet.
