The Trade

The Timberwolves need more 3-and-D wing players. Danny Green could very well be a target this offseason, should Minnesota look to acquire a player of his caliber via trade.
While Danny Green is on the back side of his career, he is still very productive and consistent from the three-point line. While getting Green is nice, I am giving up a plethora of young, high-upside players.

Lakers also receive two second-round picks.

This not only gets the Timberwolves two rotational players but ensures that Minnesota finishes the offseason under the luxury tax line.

Losing players such as Jake Layman and Omari Spellman would be disappointing but adding a high-level rotational complimentary piece would dramatically improve the Wolves’ playoff chances.
