The Washington Wizards have an interesting group of players. Currently, the team seems commited to making a John WallBradley Beal backcourt work – and if so – Onyeka Okongwu would be a great pick.

Okongwu has fallen slightly in this mock draft simply because there are no teams from 4-8 that have huge needs for a versatile defensive center (or, as much as they need other players). The Wizards being able to get someone that can guard anyone from 3-5 would be extremely valuable, especially given Rui Hachimura, an awful defensive player, was their first-round pick last offseason.

Okongwu likely will not be the player that Bam Adebayo currently is, but he can be an excellent defensive player that does enough offensively to have a role setting screens, finishing lobs, and working in the post often.
