The Phoenix Suns are one of the toughest teams to figure out this offseason. They made a 8-0 run in the seeding games for the playoffs but still was not invited to the play-in tournament due to, essentially, Damian Lillard being incredible.
The past two drafts, the Suns have gone all-in on getting valuable wing/forwards that can play solid minutes in Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges. Though it would be somewhat of a logjam, Okoro is an incredible defender that, if he develops a jump-shot, could be the best player in this draft.
Okoro won numerous games for Auburn this past season and consistently showed up when needed the most. He is the one player in this draft that may eventually be able to guard every single position and has the athleticism and tenacity to get to the rim offensively. The one holdup in his game is whether his jump-shot will come around – and his free-throw-percentage of nearly 70-percent makes it a valid question.
