Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards. 1. player. 86. . SG

Anthony Edwards is, at least so far, the consensus first overall pick. While there is some vying for LaMelo Ball to be the first overall pick (myself included), star point guard D’Angelo Russell seems apprehensive about the fit between the two.

Edwards is also a more natural fit, slotting right in at the shooting guard spot for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He could be an electric scorer moving forward with the potential to be an All-Star eventually.

There is some hesitation among Timberwolves fans due to his concerns being exactly what upended former first-overall pick Andrew Wiggins’ career in Minnesota. There are also questions about Malik Beasley’s future, should the team decide to select Edwards – given the team traded for him at the trade deadline and Beasley is due for what could be a massive payday.
