The Charlotte Hornets are in position to select the best overall player on the board with their pick – LaMelo Ball. There are many saying that Toppin could be a potential selection here due to the Hornets previous draft history, however general manager Mitch Kupchak has said that the team will be aiming for a star (low floor, high ceiling pick), unlike the past two years.
Ball is a pass-first point guard with the shooting and defensive upside to become an elite player. Though he does have his struggles, it is difficult to see him not at least being a starting caliber player because of his playmaking.
Putting Ball next to players such as PJ Washington, Miles Bridges, and Devonte’ Graham is only going to improve the offense of the team and will drastically improve their watch-ability.
