27. . SF. New York Knicks. Devin Vassell. 8. player

Devin Vassell is one of the few players in this draft that could contribute for any team right away. He brings high-level shooting and defensive ability.

The Knicks need to surround RJ Barrett with any type of talent that can shoot. Most of his struggles as a rookie were, in part, due to his teammates having nothing resembling a respectable shot. Putting any combination of players between Frank Ntilikina, Dennis Smith, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and Kevin Knox is doomed from the start given none of those players can score (or shoot) at an efficient clip.

Vassell would be an instant starter at the three for the Knicks, giving New York much-needed shooting and much-needed defense. Even if he never developed any other trait outside of those two skills, he would still be considered a great pick given just how little the Knicks currently have.
