The Phoenix Suns don’t need as much as other teams competing for a Western Conference playoff spot. They have two really good players (Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton) with a really intriguing supporting cast with a plethora of 3-and-D wing/forwards. Still, there are some areas which they can improve, particularly at point guard.
Kira Lewis is a player whose stock has skyrocketed over the course of this draft cycle. He is a good all-around prospect that has incredible speed in addition to a promising shot and a good-enough playmaking arsenal. The Suns could use another dynamic perimeter threat and, should Lewis hit, he could very well be that guy.
The Suns signed Ricky Rubio to a three-year contract last offseason and while it has paid off, getting Lewis to learn behind such an elite passer will do nothing but help the Suns later down the road. Phoenix went 8-0 in the Orlando bubble, and while they still didn’t make the playoffs, they showed they will be a force this coming season.
