NBA Mock Draft 5.0: New No. 1 pick for Wolves, Bulls take Toppin
15. Orlando Magic – Josh Green, Wing, Arizona
16. Portland Trail Blazers – Saddiq Bey, Forward, Villanova
The Minnesota Timberwolves getting Aaron Nesmith with the 17th overall pick would be a home run swing. Nesmith is a great off-ball wing player that brings elite shooting.
Though he only played in roughly a dozen games for Vanderbilt, Nesmith’s shooting is unlike any other player in this draft class. He shot over 50-percent from range… with incredible volume (115 total attempts [in comparison, Jarrett Culver took 161 total threes with about 2.5 times as many games]).
With his potential as a scorer, Nesmith also brings some ability as an on-ball defender, as well. Though he is not particularly good, he is likely to become, at the very least, an average defender in the NBA.
