170. . Wing. Charlotte Hornets. Anthony Edwards. 3. player

The Hornets are one of the most interesting teams to watch in this draft. General manager Mitch Kupchak has repeatedly said that position does not matter when it comes to making this pick, indicating they might select a player where they already have talent (possibly a guard with Terry Rozier/Devonte’ Graham or a power forward with PJ Washington).

Charlotte has also been linked with James Wiseman, who would slot into their center position immediately. Still, Anthony Edwards is probably the pick here if he is available. The Hornets have needed a perimeter attacker since the departure of franchise centerpiece Kemba Walker, and Edwards might be able to be that player.

Adding Edwards to a core that consists of Graham, Washington, Miles Bridges, and Malik Monk is promising, but Charlotte still is going to have to continue to build their roster over the coming years to have a chance at returning to the Eastern Conference playoffs.
