The Chicago Bulls have various questions surrounding their roster. While Coby White looked really good over the course of the second half of last season, the lack of progression from Lauri Markkanen during the past three years is cause for concern.

Obi Toppin is a score-first forward/big that has the athleticism to do virtually anything on the offensive end of the floor. Teams are apparently in love with Toppin’s offensive potential (and rightfully so) as a 6-foot-9 unicorn with the ability to pass, shoot, and post up.

Inserting Toppin on the Bulls is also placing a bet that Wendell Carter becomes the defensive player we once thought he could be. A Toppin-Carter frontcourt with Markkanen off of the bench is extremely promising, especially with the progression from Zach LaVine, White, and hopefully a healthy Otto Porter.
