THE CHARLOTTE HORNETS

The Minnesota Timberwolves need consistent, rotational players and Miles Bridges has a great shot at becoming a good one. The Hornets would be making this trade to secure the player that they believe is the best overall in the class (most believe that Charlotte would be targeting Wiseman with this pick).

Bridges has had ups and downs, but essentially upgrading from Culver in this respect might be worth trading down two spots (and likely to retain one of Ball/Edwards, similar to the Warriors’ trade).  The Timberwolves would also be snagging Caleb Martin, who looked promising in limited minutes, in addition to a 2021 second round pick (something much needed given they have a total of zero picks in 2021).

It’s difficult to see a scenario which the Timberwolves accept a trade from the Hornets that does not involve, at the very least, Miles Bridges. He fits what they want to do from a teambuilding standpoint and also is a great basketball fit next to Karl-Anthony Towns.
