THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

The Cleveland Cavaliers could continue to stack up on assets in a draft that does not have much going on after the top-3 selections. The talent disparity between the fifth and 17th picks is not as much as it usually is, and there are going to be good role players that are selected all over the board on draft night.

For the Timberwolves, they have to really be sold on a player in order to make a deal involving their former 6thoverall pick. Trading up in a deal like the one shown here means the team is confident that the player they select can make an immediate impact on winning, should they still be pursuing a playoff birth this coming year.

Minnesota needs to hit on their draft picks, and some of the players in this range could be great fits in the Timberwolves’ roster. Obi Toppin and Onyeka Okongwu would both be interesting players to add from different perspectives from the forward/big position. Tyrese Haliburton could be a guard that they end up targeting if LaMelo Ball is not the pick at one.
