Minnesota Timberwolves: One trade with every lottery team
THE ATLANTA HAWKS
The Atlanta Hawks have a lot going for them currently. If they add the right pieces to their roster, it is possible that this team makes the playoffs next year – especially in the Eastern Conference. John Collins is a player that is swiftly approaching his second contract, and Kevin Huerter is not going to become much more than a consistent 3-and-D player. Making a move for the first overall pick (while retaining #6 overall) means they are sold on the fit between Trae Young and either Ball ord Edwards.
From the Timberwolves perspective, they are adding not just one, but two high quality role players that should be able to contribute on day one. While the team is losing Culver, you know that both Huerter and Collins are going to be able to play high-level basketball – and that might just be worth the first overall pick in a really, really weak draft class.
