THE DETROIT PISTONS

The Detroit Pistons were one of the three teams named by ESPN when it came to discuss LaMelo Ball’s name in a possible trade up. If the Pistons were to move up in order to select him, the Timberwolves should strongly consider this offer.

Derrick Rose is one of the more seasoned veterans in the league and would add a lot to a backcourt as a sixth man. Even on just a one-year contract, he would greatly help the Timberwolves in the short term. Looking at it from a multi-year perspective, Minnesota would still be landing an additional first round pick.

Despite the Pistons not exactly having the best roster or trade assets, what they do have makes a lot of sense for Minnesota and could be one of the better packages for the first overall pick in both the short and long term.
