Bold Prediction #1 – The Timberwolves don’t make a single trade before the deadline.

Gersson Rosas has basically turned over the entire roster in his tenure as general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves. In fact, the only two players that remain from before are superstar Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Okogie. Everyone else was either signed, drafted, or brought in via trade.

Last season, before the trade deadline, Gersson Rosas made two major moves: dealing Robert Covington away for multiple players and picks and giving up Andrew Wiggins (and a 2021 protected pick) for D’Angelo Russell.

This season, though, without a first-round pick in 2021, it could be significantly harder to make a trade to improve the roster – especially in a year with playoff expectations.

There are a few players that the Timberwolves could target in a potential trade this season: Aaron Gordon, John Collins, Maxi Kleber. Again, though, due to not having a draft pick as well as simply trusting the current core group of players, I don’t see anything happening before when the trade deadline is currently set.
