The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently the worst team in the Western Conference by record at 4-14. Tonight, they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers, a team that has surpassed expectations thus far, and are currently 9-10 (seventh in the Eastern Conference).

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a three-game losing streak following a back-to-back against Golden State and a bad loss to the 76ers on Friday. The Cavaliers are coming off of a 21-point loss to the Knicks. The game will tip off around 7:10 p.m. CT.

Last season, the Cavs and Timberwolves split their season series, each winning one game. Karl-Anthony Towns did not play in either game, and he is expected to miss tonight as well.

What to watch for in Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Collin Sexton is currently averaging 25 points, three rebounds, and four assists per game on 50/44/81 shooting splits, and has been nothing short of incredible through the first part of this season. The Timberwolves will have to find a way to defend Sexton effectively if they want to have a chance to win tonight.

Anthony Edwards is scoring 18 points per game over the course of his previous four games, including one game which he started. While his splits are not great, he has shown an innate ability to score the ball, and should have an interesting matchup against rookie lockdown defender Isaac Okoro.

The Cavaliers recently acquired Jarrett Allen in the same trade that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, and so far he has been great, getting almost two blocks per game. Scoring inside is going to be a challenge with the Cavaliers having as many frontcourt players as they do (Drummond, Nance, McGee, and Allen).
